A fusion of Japan and India, this stunning kimono robe is hand dyed and woven by a group of specialised Ikat master artisans. Made in the traditional T-shaped silhouette of a Japanese kimono, and handwoven in a complex Japanese inspired double Ikat, this kimono gown is a celebration of design, simplicity and versatility.

Stylish, striking and so versatile, this piece feels so good for laid back, relaxed activities as well as special occasions. Wear it for lounging at home, Sunday market strolls, brunching with friends or dinner dates. Throw over casual weekend wear like jeans and a t-shirt or pair with cigarette trousers and a top for a more dressier look. This kimono robe goes well with plain neutrals like blues, greys, beige or black. Add a flash of colour by wearing a neutral top with dark colour trousers or skirts.

• One size fits small to large with a relaxed fit . Length centre front 36 ½”. Cross-body chest 22 ½”. Model is 5'9" so if you’re shorter bear in mind the kimono will fall lower.

Story

Crafted by a group of specialised Ikat master artisans in Hyderabad in Telangana State. Ikat is an ancient dyeing and weaving process found around the world. Ikat refers to resist dyeing the yarn before weaving and making sure it aligns to form the complex design. This kimono features double Ikat cloth that means both the weft and warp yarns have been dyed this way. A particularly complicated and labour intensive process.
