A soft and colourful kantha scarf perfect for the new season, when cooler days invite a lightweight wrap and joyful prints.

Details:

Raspberry pink on one side, a soft floral rose on the other. A reversible scarf that’s so pretty it makes people ask where you got it.

How to wear it: Over a light jumper, loosely wrapped around the neck, ends left long. Knotted over a top or t-shirt or draped around the shoulders over a dress for an evening out.

How it’s made: Crafted from 2 layers of high quality, handpicked vintage sari silk. This scarf is hand embroidered all over with fine decorative Kantha running stitch creating a lightly quilted scarf that’s versatile and stylish. Kantha is an old craft, originally a way of repurposing preloved cloth by stitching layers together. It gives the silk a soft, quilted texture you feel the moment you pick it up. Reversible, so you get two scarves in one.

Who made it: Stitched by a member of a women’s Kantha cooperative in West Bengal. Her initials are embroidered into the hem, the way a painter signs a canvas and adds a personalised touch that carries the story of the women artisans.
