The people behind Weaver Green are Tasha and Barney Green. Whilst travelling in Asia they found a fishing rope made from unravelled plastic bottles being used to tether boats. With an entrepreneurial background and strong environmental ethos, Tasha and Barney realised there was an opportunity to turn some of the billions of plastic bottles into beautiful and practical products. It took seven years to perfect the process resulting in a beautiful collection of hand loomed bags and home accessories.
These Scandi-inspired tote bags feel like soft, textured wool or jute and are handwoven by skilled artisans using traditional methods. Only weaving houses committed to employing skilled adults are used and artisans are paid fairly and enjoy comfortable and fair working conditions.
